A series of calamities befall an ill-assorted acting troupe, trying to tour a misconceived production of Shakespeare's 'The Tempest'. With no money, no experience and no contacts, a would-be director somehow manages to gather together a group of misfits to stage the production, first in a porn bar in Soho, then in a Chinese restaurant in Edinburgh and then somehow, through theft and skulduggery, on the streets of Paris.
