Land has been trying for years to fund her dream of directing her first feature film. After returning from a month long admission in the hospital and a stay with her suburban sister, Land comes back to the city to find that she has been evicted from her East Village apartment and her boyfriend is nowhere to be found. She finds that her only option to redeem herself is to make a documentary of her neighbor and famous artist Vlad in order to enhance her career as a filmmaker and get backers for her feature. She convinces her sister to bring her equipment to shoot the documentary of Vlad. Her sister wants her to give up this life and become a suburbanite and homemaker for the rest of her life. A battle of wills ensues over which road Land should take. Will she get to live out her dream? Or will she go back to suburbia?
