Career Day -- a chance for kids to get extra credit for skipping school! Children in Jackson School District can't wait to go to work with the adult of their choice. Join real-life siblings, Michelle, Zachary and Katie Kennedy, on their big adventure as their antics bring comedy and chaos into the work force. It sounds like fun. But, surprise! Michelle learns that a pediatrician's office is no place for a germ-a-phobic, and Zack has a close encounter of the dead kind at his dad's mortuary. Seven-year-old Katie loves tagging along with her high-powered attorney mother. Her mom gets more than she bargained for when Katie tricks her into defending Cole Franklin, captain of the high school football team. He is accused of stealing a diamond worth over $50 million dollars. Katie is best friends with Cole's sister, and knows in her heart that he is innocent. After Michelle and Zack get kicked out of their jobs for causing more trouble then they're worth, little sister Katie begs them to help her prove the boy's innocence. The three kids are sure that Mr. Diamond, the owner of the precious gem, is behind the theft, and in fact, framed Cole in order to collect on the insurance money. Katie comes up with a plan to trap him. Katie thinks she has everything under control until her plan backfires. In a daring attempt to gather incriminating evidence, the kids sneak into Mr. Diamond's office and eavesdrop on his conversation with his thugs. Boy, they're sure happy their tape recorder is working. Suddenly caught, an outraged Mr. Diamond orders his thugs to grab the kids and get the tape. Barely escaping with the tape in hand, the three kids are chased into the city streets. Frantically, they run into the mall with the thugs close behind. Matters get worse when the mall's security guards join the chase, thinking that the kids are up to no good. Add to this wild and crazy mix, the police - who don't believe one word of the kids' preposterous story; grandma - who mistakenly thinks that the thugs are out to help her grandchildren; and Katie - who takes Career Day to new heights with her endearing personality and rock-solid stubbornness!
