Wealthy bachelor Richie Rey (THOMAS IAN NICHOLAS "American Pie," "American Pie 2," "American Wedding," "The Rules of Attraction," "Halloween: Resurrection") appears to have it all. He's the creator and president of the most successful internet dating service - perfectforme.com. Still, Richie is unable to find love and suffers from continual "unsuccessful dating exhaustion." Richie is convinced by his musician friend, Sherman Oaks (ANDREW KATOS "Push") to fund a fake casting agency as a means to meet his soul mate. They place an ad in a popular Hollywood Actors' trade magazine to find the "perfect woman." Richie recruits misfit loner best buddy Glenn Dale (DIEDRICH BADER "Napoleon Dynamite," "Office Space," "Miss Congeniality 2," TV's "The Drew Carey Show") and draws him into the scheme. To their surprise and delight, the guys receive a tremendous response from beautiful out-of-work actresses. Taking the actresses out and spending time with them becomes part of the audition process for their "film." The women who are "not right" are not given a call back and "consequently cut from the film based on budgetary constraints." Eventually, the women start to catch on, and the only way the guys can stay out of trouble is to actually make a film -- or at least create a convincing illusion that they are doing so. Accordingly, Glenn begins making a "film" starring one of his "discoveries," Laurel Canyon (NICOLE EGGERT "Baywatch," "Charles in Charge"). Unbeknownst to the guys, the woman launch a cunning plan to outwit the men at their own game. But, in the meantime, Richie has fallen in love with Marina Del (JENNY MOLLEN WB's "Angel,"" Return of the Living Dead 5, Rave to the Grave," "The Raven") and begins an awkward attempt of backtracking to salvage his relationship with the woman who has become the love of his life. Cattle Call is a romantic comedy about the beauty of fate, life and love - brought to you in the style you've come to expect from National Lampoon.
