Not for Nothing... ...is a "follow your dreams" comedy about Steve, a first generation Italian-American wishing to become a head chef against his father's better, blue-collar, judgment. "Almost thirty years old, and my son, the daughter we never had, wears an apron to work, if you can call it work." But because Steve doesn't have a culinary degree, his dream has hit a brick wall. In order to pay the bills, he takes a "sabbatical" from his culinary aspirations and gets a job at a delivery service. Once in his new job, Steve saves a little cash, finds a little romance, gets backing to open his own restaurant and ultimately earns the respect of his father. Not for Nothing is a "feel good" New York story with a very big heart.
