Western, USA, 1927



Bill and Shorty, two cowhands, are jailed for fighting with Blackie, who works for Luther Fox. The sheriff agrees to release them if they will work for Fox, and they consent. When they are dispatched to collect an overdue payment from the Bassett ranch, they learn that Bassett's son, Pete, has been railroaded to prison by Blackie and Fox and that the Bassett cattle were mortgaged to raise money to fight the case. Peter returns home and, accompanied by Shorty, sets out to find the stolen cattle. Bill, who suspects the sheriff, tracks the rustlers to their lair, frees their captives, and makes them prisoners. Bill finds happiness with Mary.
