Thanks for the Buggy Ride

Jenny, a dance instructor, accidentally meets Joe Hall, a song promoter, who escorts her home; she gives him a song idea by calling "Thanks for the Buggy Ride." At a picnic they fall desperately in love, and during a rainstorm they take refuge in a house for sale. When Jenny goes to a cafe to give a private dance lesson to Harold McBride, she incurs the enmity of his father, a song publisher, by repulsing his advances. When McBride refuses to hear Joe's song, Jenny dons blackface and successfully introduces the song at a music salon. Joe forgives her; and after claiming the rights for his song, they are married and buy the home that previously sheltered them.
