The Ordeal of Bill Carney

The landmark court battle waged by a real-life quadriplegic for the custody of his children is recounted in this drama. Ray Sharkey is Carney, who was injured in an accident during weekend maneuvers with the Army Reserve, and Richard Crenna his attorney, Mason Rose, himself a pariplegic. Curiously, Sharkey was billed at the end of the film and not up front among the stars.
