In the early sixties, Hollywood's aspiring actors avoid the draft by enlisting in the Air National Guard. The "Weekend Warriors" avoid being called up for full active duty by using their talents to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt to a pompous congressman and Russian diplomat that they are best suited as part time national protectors.
